The Great Adventure Lab is constantly developing fun new after-school science clubs for elementary school students in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C.

Don’t worry, we won’t be playing with acid or rocket fuel …

Our instructors have multiple talents, so we’re always working on interesting new after-school and evening science classes for elementary school students here at The Great Adventure Lab. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the courses we’re developing.

Last fall, we launched two new classes, Storybook Science and Electronics. This past winter, we launched one new class, Robo Challenge 2 – all new projects for our Robo Challenge fans – and Lego Engineers!

For fall 2012, we’re introducing Early Engineers -  a class designed specifically for students in grades K-1. We’ll start these kids using larger blocks to explore engineering concepts, because we know little fingers sometimes aren’t ready for regular-sized bricks!

For Spring 2013, we plan to offer

*Mindstorms 2 – for students who’ve mastered the basic sensors

AND

Video Game Programming 2, for kids who’ve mastered the basics of the Scratch programming language (taught in our VGP I class)  and are ready to move on!

We usually offer new classes in the evening at a central location. Evening science classes are open to students from all schools.

The Great Adventure Lab is dedicated to providing more fun science programs to more students at an earlier age.

Registration for our fall 2012 classes is underway. Please join our mailing list to receive our updates!
