Yes! We have girls in our classes!!
Intro to Lego Robotics is a great class for first and second graders who have no experience with robotics, but are ready to learn some basic concepts including how gears work. And why not have a lot of fun doing it? Our students build helicopters, wheelie bots and more!
Students follow step-by-step on-screen instructions to build simple bots, and then write suggested programs to get their robots working.
That’s just the start! Once our bots are built, we start experimenting with them, just as we do in higher level Lego Robotics classes for our older students. If we want our bots to move in a different way, or make different sounds, how do we re-program them or re-engineer them to do that?
Tired of having no clue what your kids do in all those clubs? We’re different. A day or two after every class, your instructor will email a note explaining what the class learned in the previous session and what’s next. Sometimes we even include photos and videos!
For complete information for parents whose students are new to robotics, see our beginning robotics FAQ.
